Cat Harness Leash Set

I have purchased several different harnesses which didn't work very well. This one does. The only problem I had is the Large will not fit a huge cat like my 20 pounder. He's not fat just a huge breed cat. This company needs to add an X-Large to the options. I highly recommend this product. It's everything it claims to be. The harness if great. It's strong and sturdy and comfortable for my kitty. I'm very happy with this product.

The design looks great, fits snugly. I'd just warn folks to follow the directions and wean kitty into it. I got cocky, tried it right on her, and mightve blown the whole thing for who knows how long; she freaked out and now just to look at it spooked her. Taking the long route now. For a cat that already goes outside, this could be a long haul. But one other thing for the manufacturers, I'd like to see s longer leash with a little bungee in it, for the kind of strolls we would take.

It's going to take time for me to get this on my cat, as my cat is very uncooperative. I got it on once and it seems like it will fit, but I may need a large. I have a big boy and he weights 12lbs. I just can't tell from one incompletely fitting. LOL He'll get use to it if I keep at it. I like the product. It's study, yet soft.

Eventhough my cat has not gotten use to it yet, I think it is a great product. It fits very well and is soft.

It is as advertised and is secure for my cat, and easy to put on him. (I have an all velcro cloth harness one that is softer on kitty but he can pull out of it.) I like the design of yours. The foot holes once secured seem to be a bit binding on my cat. I think he feels this one on him whereas he does not seem to feel the all cloth one.

I wrote below that I did not receive the name tags, but in my excitement of receiving the harness I accidentally threw them away! After I posted my review last night I checked my email to find that Dryfur had actually sent me new tags. Ooops! So sorry my fault! I should have double checked before sending the review. So now I'm fixing this review by giving it 5 stars. :)

The Service: I ordered the Cat harness on Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend, within 30 minutes of placing my order I received a notification that it had already been shipped! I received the harness Tuesday afternoon. I wasn't expecting service to be that quick on a holiday weekend. The Cat Harness: After trying out several different harnesses that were either too big, too heavy, or too complicated I found this one to be perfect! Its easy to put on him, and most importantly feels snug, secure, and escape-proof. These feel more like a custom fit compared to the ones you can buy in stores. However, it is important to follow the instructions and measure your cat first. I almost didn't, and assumed he would fit a small. I'm happy I did measure him because he fits a medium perfectly. I've been putting the harness on him for a few minutes several times a day. Of course he's acting like I strapped an anvil to his back! When he drops like he's playing dead, or walks backwards I give him a treat (bits of roast chicken) from the other side of the room so that he'll get used to moving in the harness, and then we'll play with his toys for a few minutes and he gets more treats. He moves around normally then realizes the anvil is on his back and lays on the floor again. Thats when I take it off. It also seems to have a calming effect on him. He doesn't make a peep when he's in the harness, but he does give me a 'WTF is this?!' look. Its really quite amusing. The reason why I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did not receive any ID tags. Not really a big deal as I need new ones made soon, but I like having something for a back up just in case. Also, I tried attaching the leash to the harness. Thats where it is a bit difficult, its very secure even for humans! I have a few months to become adept at removing it quickly. Hopefully i can get the hang of it or I may have to attach the leash to only one D-ring. Any tips? I am confident that he'll get used to wearing the harness after a few weeks of treats and playing around in it. The reason I purchased it is because we will be moving overseas in 4 months, and I do not want going through security to be a disaster. I can't bear to keep him confined to a carrier for 12+ hours, so during the layover times at least he can sit with me and people watch without worrying about him being skittish or meowing the entire time. Also, he's used to going out on my screened-in porch all day. When we move to the Netherlands he won't have that luxury, so my hopes are to have him harness trained so that he can at least explore the garden. Our new neighborhood will have too much car traffic and I just do not want to risk something happening. Overall, I love the harness and I am looking forward to harness training my 9 year old cat! RESPONSE: Thanks so much this kind of feedback is really helpful to cat owners. You are experiencing and doing exactly what it takes to harness train a cat. Once your cat has mastered it you it is wonderful! I am sorry about The leash is a bit difficult to attach and we are currently seeking an easier all plastic hook that is a bit easier. But so far has not been an easy task. Also please if you get a chance email me and request ID tags they should have come with the harness. The collar and harness worked great for my daughter's cat when she recently flew cross country. It made to much easier to to feel secure about having to remove the cat from the carrier. She also used a baby blanket to cover her so she couldn't see the chaos of people that is security. The harness fit snugly and we weren't sure if it was too tight since she was at the top of the size range, but it worked out perfectly. RESPONSE: Thank you so much and AWESOME tip using the Baby Blanket.... when a cat feels he is hiding they are much calmer and feel safe and less likely to jump and run away...looking for a hiding place... This had been out of stock for a while. I got a kind email from the company letting me know they were back in stock. I ordered and it was immediately sent to me. I ordered a size M, and it fits my cat perfectly. Certainly much easier than the flimsy harness I'd been using. Question: my cat shed a lot the first time I put it on. He now loves it, but at first, not so much. It's filled with his fur, and I'm wondering how I can remove the fur, especially off of the velcro part? Thanks - love this product
